Join Our Virtual Field Team
Everyday we face new attacks on the LGBTQ+ community, and new opportunities to advance equality and justice. Whether it’s helping to change laws, change hearts, or change minds, all of these actions require one critical thing -- connecting with people. To do that, I’m excited today to invite you to join our new Virtual Field Team!
We’re building a team to make phone calls every month that will help our community. You’ll be able to call almost any day and at any time either on your own, or with the team -- all from the comfort of your couch! What kind of calls? Could be to educate folks on why trans kids should be allowed to play sports. Could be to ask a voter to leave a message with their Senator to support the Equality Act. Could be reminding supporters to get out and vote!
In partnership with our friends at the National Equality Action Team (NEAT), we’ll participate both in actions locally and in support of our fellow communities across the country. They in turn will help us when we need it, because none of us are free until all of us are free. Our local group will be part of a national network of teams supporting each other every day.
